Tofurky

Thanksgiving can be a very difficult holiday for vegetarians to eat at. I mean, we can’t exactly eat turkey. This Thanksgiving, however, I decided to try something different. Tofurkey is a sort of fake turkey. It’s made of tofu and wheat, and comes in a loaf that you can slice. Tofurky has been seen in stores everywhere, recently. WHen I tried it I discovered a few things.

  1. I actually has a nice flavor (if not exactly like turkey).
  2. The stuffing is quite good.
  3. The texture is really, really chewy and dry.

Now, I can’t say that all tofurky is like this. I haven’t tried every single brand, and lots of people do make their own tofurky. Maybe next Thanksgiving I’ll try making my own.
