Classic Black Bean Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 can black beans
  • 1/2 cup corn
  • 1/4 onion, diced and sautéed
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced and sautéed
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 1 cup quinoa, cooked
  • Cooking oil
  • Whatever toppings or buns you would like

Recipe

Mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher. Add the corn, onion, quinoa, tomato, salsa, paprika, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix fully and then form circular patties. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until dark brown and holding together, in a greased pan. Cool for 5 minutes and put the patties in buns with whatever topping you like.
